Bracket Busters failed because instead of pitting top teams against each other, it became an RPI killer

To the best of my knowledge, literally every single winner in the history of bracket busters improved their RPI by winning the game. I am not aware of a single case of a team having been better off not playing at all than accepting the win, and yes, that is something that happens quite often to MVC team's during their non-cons in November.

Of course losing in bracket busters hurt, but that's basically true for the entire MVC season as well.

I think people were too hard on bracket busters. We saw two eventual Final Four teams visit Koch Arena. It wasn't all bad.

I'm not an expert on it, but i believe the ncaa itself pays the travel costs of each team.

Not only that, but all travel for teams and bands is managed by the NCAA. Here is a couple interesting articles on the mess of coordinating all those flights.

That should really energize the EMAWs in Bramlage. There non-con schedule away from home is okay but they better win a few of those.

IMO a bit optimistic to rank Memphis as a Top Ten Program; Top Thirty maybe but a Top 40 Program for sure.

I read your link but I am not sure what you wanted me to discover regards ranking Memphis as a Top Ten program. IMO many P5 schools and more than ten (10) non-P5 schools rank ahead of Memphis. Non-P5 schools in rank-order with whom I would like the Shockers to establish non-conference home and home games ahead of Memphis:

2. Villanova
3. Gonzaga
4. Butler
5. Xavier
6. Dayton
7. SDSU
8. Cincinnati
9. Georgetown
10. VCU
11. UNLV
12. St John's
13. Temple
14. SMU
