I thought face guarding was either an automatic technical or flagrant? Guess not?

The guy guarding Baker did not have his hands straight up. He was reaching out and face guarding Baker (which you are not supposed to be able to do) and then he just put his palm on Bakers forehead.

Not being a ref, I don't know these things, but I didn't think "face guarding" meant putting your hand(s) on the guy's face. I do know it doesn't mean that in football.

As for the Fred play, I'm just glad that didn't happen in a Valley game. Considering the treatment he gets (especially when Valley execs are present), it probably would have been a Flagrant-1 on Fred for initiating contact above the neck. Who cares which neck -- just don't let him get away with that kind of stuff!
