What's also bizarre about this is that UNI has really smart players. We see it all the time. They had the posession arrow the entire time. Especially on the last play when Washpun was trapped, you just go full fetal position around the ball. A&M either has to foul or if you get tied up you still have the ball with only a couple of seconds left. It was just panic city at the end.
They didn't have a timeout but Jacobson could have said time didn't run off the clock or something and make the refs go look at replay. It was within the last two minutes. Teams get free timeouts on replay reviews all the time. I hate it but in this case he could have taken advantage of that. At least he could have tried something like that instead of standing there like a deer in the headlights.
I'm sure right now those players are thinking of all these things they should have done too. In the moment they were too panicked and freaked out at the situation that they couldn't think clearly or logically. They should al have been told about the posession arrow situation though. If you know that, you always have an out if you are trapped.Last edited by Zubcut; March 21, 2016, 05:31 PM.

He basically got the heck out of the way the other 2 layups he should have contested. He needs to try blocking those and at worst make them shoot 2 instead of just moving to the side.

There were about 5 different things he could do at the end. He chose the worst option. There were 2 different passes that could have been made before the trap. He could have dribbled to the middle of the floor before the trap, he could have just overhead tossed the ball to the other end of the court or he could have just wrapped up the ball and hoped for a foul or jump ball. He instead chose the riskiest play of trying to throw it off a defender

Think Miami has a comeback in them-?
Getting worked by Nova.
most first half points allowed by the burning stinking hot mess that is MyHammy. For some the glass is half full and for others half empty. My glass is out of ice.
