    What about specifically STL heartbreakers:

    2006: Sweet 16 vs Sweet 16
    2009: 3.5 ....err.... 1.9
2010: The first taste of Championship Game defeat
    2011: Jake Odum late shot
    2012: Nut punch
2013: WSU vs sCUm: The Final Chapter
    2014: The underseeded Kentucky
    2015: Dasion Knight deep 3
    Every other year: STL curse

Did I mention how much I hate STL?! Yet I still go every year! Ha

2006: Creighton. Anthony Tolliver's buzzer beater that capped a comeback in a game that saw WSU lead by 20
2006: Tony Skinn's late 3 that gave George Mason a win here in the BracketBusters game
2007: A late shot by Appalachian State that caused us to lose another Bracket Buster game here
2008: Creighton made a late shot that capped another comeback in Omaha in 3G's first season. Gal Mekel came down on the next possession and was called for a charge, trying to take the lead back.
2009: It seemed like UNI hit a shot late at home to win. Matt Braeuer then had a shot at the buzzer that rimmed out. Another example of nothing going right for us in 3G's first year.
      2009: 1.9. Enough said.
2011: VCU's late FTs on a BS call at the end. David Kyles rimmed out a desperation 3 at the buzzer.

Those are the ones that immediately come to mind.
Damn that was impressive. You kind of ended the discussion.

I believe they were 0-10 at that point too (it was their first win of the season, I know for sure)

Exact opposite. They were 7-0 at the time.

Texas Tech hit the GW 3 in Lubbock with 4.2 seconds left in 2008.

Of course, there was the 'fall-over-backwards throw make' for the win that Randy Smithson made in a top 5 in loudness game versus Iowa. If I recall, that win took us right to the Battle Of New Orleans victory over KU. Mike Jones made 2 long bombs at the end to seal that deal. At the Dance---WSU-2 KU-0.

In KU's loss versus Stanford at a Dance, CF all the sudden was their "go to win the game for us player." He made a few but missed the last one. Who's betta? Kentucky, who we barely lost to in that round with lots of weird calls, all going Kentucky's way, or Stanford that Season?

Before CF get's his career done here, I predict more than one last second buzzer makes for wins for us by him.

This was discussed within the last several weeks.. It was Oral Roberts in the 2003-04 season. Game tied. Fridge was called for a foul 25 feet from the basket and made matters worse by throwing his headband. That was the first CKA loss (after the renovation).

Yep, another weird bad ending... :ranting2::banghead:

UT-A was? I thought they lost a close one to a winless team.

I thought it was them. Oh well.

And another #33 made a buzzer beating 3 to beat SIU.

                        Hmmmm....could be a good sign.

Didn't we foul Colt Ryan or some Evansville guy on a half court shot at the end of the game in 2010 or thereabouts? If I remember it was a terrible call too.

If I remember right we were up two and fouled as he shot a desperation three. He went to the line and Marshall came out on the court almost to rev up the crowd to some of the loudest booing/cheering I've ever heard. Colt missed one and I believe he ended up tying the game and forcing overtime where we won. We were very close to losing on free throws with no time remaining.

SIU got a win versus us many moons ago when a ref made an unbelievable goal tending call on EO at the end of a game instead of letting the teams go to overtime to decide the game.

Then here, Rags was called for a phantom foul that had no factor on a desperation missed shot at the end of a big game versus VCU I think. If I recall, instead of us winning by 1, their best free-throw player made 2 and we lost by 1.

Ultimately, we won both games here...but in the 2005-06 season, both Bradley and Southern Illinois hit deep 3's at the buzzers to force overtime. The Bradley game ended with PJ swatting a Patrick O'Bryant shot that could have forced another overtime, giving up at least six inches in height on this play. The Southern Illinois game was a Saturday late morning/early afternoon game that was shown on ESPN2, the first ESPN2 home game in quite awhile at that point. Paul Miller asserted himself in the second overtime, finishing the game with 30 points.
