Btw, I f****** hate the Valley as bad as I hate Paul Jansen. **** teams who piss down their legs 2/3 of the season and then get up for WSU and play over their heads. And this is why getting out of the Valley is essential for WSU. Every loss is a bad loss and WSU isn't allowed to have bad games.

This loss, especially at home, puts us in 11 seed territory.

It wasn't just this game UNI got up for--they've now won 6 in a row. We didn't play like we were the "dominant team" in the Valley. This loss is on us. I'd like to get out of the Valley as well---but I want to get out when we dominate--not looking like this.

I honestly felt like this was fundamentally one of Shaq's best defensive games as a Shocker. Usually you get rewarded for playing good defense. Funny how that's not the case for him.

Both bigs had tons of phantom calls. Grady gets pulled to the ground then gets a foul on him. Koch was allowed to push in the back with his knee all night and only got called once. He should have fouled out 3 times

I don't even feel like UNI played that well over the course of the game...we're just not good right now. IMO it's a no-brainer to bring back LS. What's the other side of the argument other than you'd maybe get him for 4 full years? This team needs a major jolt and relief for Baker and FVV and he's the only option.

I'm not in full meltdown mode, but it is stunning seeing this team play that badly when Fred and Ron are normally automatic and Conner being one of the best shooters in the state.. I figured once Conner was eligible they would coast through Valley play, but this is certainly not the case. Once again stunned, but not upset with any of them. Just a odd season.

But, I think we own a few tie breakers---the ISUr game is becoming important.

Tie breakers are inconsequential at this point. The only team that can catch us is ISU and if they beat us to tie us in the standings they'd have the head to head.

I hoped for Conner's sake that his shot would have dropped.

He would have been the hero, lifted a huge weight off his shoulders, and proved a lot to himself.

That could have been the turning point for his Shocker career and a team lifters going forward.

Basketball, like life, is a game of inches and seconds. Time will tell what happens going forward.

Well, I think that does it for my faith in this season. But, you never know.. I gave up on the Royals during game 5 of the ALDS and they came back in a ridiculous way (and several times after that).

Edit: Might as well add some game comments... We kept getting owned on the pick and roll in the first half, and let Washpun drive and dunk it on one possession. The refs sucked too, but we can't blame them for the horrible first half defense, stretches with absolutely no offense, missed point blank shots, etc.
