My eyes tell me that the Shockers seem to be officiated under a different set of rules than their opponents but it's happened so consistently now that I'm not sure what to think. My eyes also tell me that when I watch a P5 game the refs allow contact that might get a WSU player thrown out of the game. What kind of officiating can we expect in the tournament?

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

I just don't know what the reason is. I'm not as in tune with the dynamics of what I don't see. I just meant that I don't know if it's because he's not practicing hard enough, or if he doesn't stick to his defensive assignments, or if he doesn't know where to be on the offensive end. I didn't mean he SHOULD be playing. Just wondering what it is that makes it so that he should NOT.
High level D1 men's basketball is a complicated thing, and Gregg's program is even more so. Eddie Fogler was a thinking man's coach, and his game plan wasn't nearly as complicated as Gregg's.
It's TOUGH and you have to be smart and locked in to GET what they are doing, and when you're doing it you better not screw up. It's a tough combination and it's easy to get flustered.
He's just not to the point yet where he can put it all together. Perhaps he will be someday, who knows? But there's a long way to go. It's not just about being in the right place at the right time. It's about reacting properly and it's about being in the right place 10 plays from now, and still being about to go full speed ahead when you get there.
Not easy at all. I couldn't do it and I think I'm at least somewhat cerebral.
