While you can't replace Fred and Ron I'm sure we will be fine. Don't forget you've got Conner who will get better and Payton Allen a former A&M starter and the guys on the team this year will only get better. Plus an over seas trip in the summer. Don't give up on the 16-17 season before its started.

I'll add something else to the equation. Even though I don't think that the cupboard is bare, I think that Marshall is tired about not quite breaking through on some of the big recruits that we've been close on in the past (the Center from La. who went to Purdue for example). I've never said this before and I'm not one to worry about this constantly because I think that there is a lot at WSU, but after nine years, I don't think that Gregg Marshall is here next year. Recruiting to the MVC in Wichita is difficult and fans are becoming more difficult to please. We will always be a Top 1-3 Valley basketball school but every year another Valley team springs up out of nowhere and our fans won't take it. Fred and Ron won't be replaced right away and we (while we will still be Top 50) will not be what we used to be. The frustration is getting to him too. Like when we lost Ralph Miller, Marshall won't be easily replaced, and while we will continue to win and be a fringe national figure for a couple of years, we won't find another Gregg Marshall.

Now this is an interesting list of conference to which HC3G will leave WSU. What school is your best bet - Troy or Texas State?

And barring any graduate senior transfers, JRS and Zach Bush will be the only seniors next year.

I quoted myself because this thread took a turn for the worse after I posted this. All I was saying by posting this is that JRS actually might start in SENIOR NIGHT next year because he will be one of two seniors and he's been pretty valuable to us.

I have no idea how that got turned into Marshall can't recruit here and he's gone next year...
