  • NCAA Tourney Talk

Colorado knocked off Baylor 91-84 in double OT in the first round of the Big XII Tourney.

Baylor did not finish well going 5-8 over its last 13 games.

The Bears went from a 16-2 start to finish at 21-10.

They had a nice win at Notre Dame and at home over Kansas State.

Other than that nothing real impressive.

My guess is that they are NIT bound.

Baylor's win over Notre Dame was at the Paradise Jam in St. Thomas. Losing to Colorado put them square on the bubble. Lunardi had them in as a 9-seed before today's game, but now they will be in the mix of about 15 teams fighting for the last 6 or 7 slots in the field. The next few days will be pretty interesting.

I think West Virginia was probably already in, but they pretty muched punched their ticket with a 78-72 win over #15 UConn today.

Say what you will about Bob Huggins ( I am not a big fan of his), but the SOB apparently can Coach some ball.

Wonderful!!! Baylor's best team in 50 years will be lucky to make the NCAA tourney.

Well, at least I have satisfaction in that even though I have to change my avatar for awhile.

NIT bound? Hardly, just ask Digger and Tom Brennen, only BCS teams get to go the tourney. They are shoe in.

            Baylor is out IMHO.

            Florida is out.

WVU is in (but one of last ones)

Too many upsets have happened in the smaller conferences for all the big boys to get in (Thank God)!!!

            Villanova is out.

Arizona St. was never in (but that was a crappy way to lose a game)

Ohio St. won't get in either.

It is looking very bleak for Illinois St. even though most think they should get in. I think this will be the year of the snubbing the smaller schools.

I love how Doug Gottlieb has pretty much said that any BCS team that won today is a Sweet 16 team.

Note to Doug: 30 teams can't make the Sweet 16.

Agree. It's too good of a story for them to pass up.

The only way Baylor gets in is if no other bubble teams win a game in their conference tournys. Baylor has just lost too many games down the stretch. I believe it was between Baylor and TAM as the last team in from the Big 12. TAM won, Baylor lost.

I think Baylor probably sneeks in, but they only have themselves to blame if they don't. Losing to Colorado on a neutral court is pretty bad.
