Where are u seeing the seats available? Are u seeing it at selecta seat or you using another site?

When you go to buy from the seat map, it tells you seats available when you hover over a section. Clicking on a section shows that actual seats taken and available.

Down to 2797 in the Lower Bowl. 8964 left overall. So approx 5-6k sold in the first 2.5 hours

I was at the arena at 10. Maybe 30 people in line infront of me. Only two ticket windows out of 12 were open (no surprise). Waited about 30-45 minutes to get to the window. Best avail. two seats anywhere at that time was Sect 115 Row Q

            These are going fast folks.

As far as changing the system, despite all the complaining that would happen. I think it should be done like the NCAA games. You commit to a set amount of tickets a month prior to the game and are alloted your seats by SASO points. No hassles, lines, internet BS. Max the tickets out at the # of season tickets you purchase. The university would know a month ahead of time who is buying and how many to seat, and could include the tickets when they mail out your season ticket package.

This was done the first time and everyone threw a gigantic fit.

Actually it was included in your season tickets. People complained their seats were not as good as their Koch seats. "I sit lower at Koch, and they stuck me in the upper bowl" was heard a lot. This way you have the choice to purchase them or not.

You would hear those exact same complaints even if they weren't included with the season ticket package. I actually agree with you that it would be the most fair way to do it but I don't think it's worth the headache for WSU or potentially pissing off hundreds of (crybaby) season ticket holders.

It's just disappointing how some have no qualms taking for themselves the privileges others have earned.

I agree, which is why, in my opinion, they should have one presale (Friday) for all season ticket holders, and then general public on Saturday. The presale does a good job keeping scalpers/brokers (stubhub) from scooping up a ton of the best tickets, and also allows one opportunity for season ticket holders to grab seats.

If the point of the 4 day tiered presale is to give season ticket holders a better opportunity at good seats, they are failing the tier 2 through 4 (Wednesday through Friday) presale groups.

The problem would be easily rectified in its current form if they simply had some way to peg IBA tickets to CKA season tickets, by volume. Meaning a season ticket holder at CKA with 4 tickets can only buy 4 tickets for the IBA game. Seems perfectly logical and fair to me.

I've heard there have been bulk orders today in the 40 and 50 ticket realm. That's asinine, and kills opportunity not just for the buying public, but for other financial supporters of the program.

That's what I'm getting at. Maybe the issue is really how many tickets can one person buy, perhaps they should limit it to the number of season tickets you buy.

I know online, select-a-seat limited you to 10 tickets.

I think there should be a limit, but the limit should be more than your number of season tickets for most people. If you have 2 season tickets, but want to bring 2 guests. This is a great time to show off the excitment of Shocker basketball, where you can gain potential fans/donors. You have 50% extra capacity compared to Koch Arena. Sure the extras can buy their own tickets, but allowing your friends to have better seats, next to your own would make the experience more enjoyable for the newer people.

So yes to a cap, but no to a cap on the same amount of your season tickets.
