And it's an important lesson to learn.
No one said there should not be consequences. I think we all are in 100% agreement that there should and will be consequences and we all know who will determine those consequences. I suspect Marshall will give him a chance to correct this situation. However, I doubt that 3G will give him more than 1 more strike.

It is just a matter of time with this dirt bag, he was back in Wichita every weekend last season drunk. It finally caught up with him.

      Let's hope he is gone.

Was Conner never added to the roster on goShockers.com?

Have you ever spead while driving? Or driven while talking/texting on your phone? Because that puts people's lives in jeopardy.

Not excusing what he did, but we are all guilty of sin in this house. If I'm wrong, please let me know because I'll be prepared for the second coming.

I am sure you meant to say "can cost lives" which can also be applied to say, exceeding the posted speed limit. I am sure you have never done that either.

If he still played at KU, he would get chastised and then be active in the next big game... Even if it was tomorrow. We've already seen that move this year.

Now if they were playing a buy-game at home, he would REALLY be in trouble.

CF doesn't need my forgiveness. I don't know him from Adam; I am not his maker, parent, nor in his social circle. I'm not even really offended in the first place, but he went into the no-go zone on an issue I have a pretty big sore spot with. Their are plenty of professions, and positions of power, where a DUI gets you bounced. There's reasons why society as a whole has nearly zero tolerance for that particular behavior.

Ok look. Many on here will be quick to throw Conner out the door if he sneezes wrong. So this isn't surprising so many are ready to do this. My gut says if it were Fred or Ron those same people would be upset but not ready to dismiss them from the team. Not surprising, but unfortunate.

This is definately serious and he will get punished in some way both legally and probably by Marshall (perhaps privately more than we know). He certainly doesn't need me passing judgment or punishing him as well.

Let this be a tough lesson learned and thank God no one was hurt.
"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

                      Maybe some KU players?

Sorry Shockvalue, though I understand your rage, no one was killed here. That being said no one is condoning drinking and driving and the potiential is there. He was wrong for doing it, there will be consequences. The bottom line is how he reacts to said consequences.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kickass ... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

Adrenaline works a lot better, and it is free.

EDIT: On topic: Looks like Frankanbeans really would have been a better fit at Creighton after all. For freaks sake those tools actually discuss on their forum how to best avoid DUI enforcement after a night "having fun" at the bars.

We DON'T need this distraction, especially from a non-contributor who is actually not even a member of the team.
I've heard the legal limit in Omaha is a .34 or something like that. The police are actually demoted if they pull someone over that only blows a .20 or lower.

Also, let's not pretend that CF is the first Shox player to have even drank (or drank and drive more than likely). This could have very easily happened before.

This could prove to be an excellent wake up call to CF. Everything has come easy for him, in life, so far. Now with a little adversity (having to leave KU and adding this), how will the kid respond? Time will tell.
