The Wiggins brothers will be reunited in Minnesota at the Timberwolves' training camp this summer. The Timberwolves signed forward Nick Wiggins - the older brother of Andrew Wiggins - to a non-guaranteed training camp deal, Eric Pincus of the Los Angeles Times reports. The elder Wiggins played in the D-League last season after going undrafted in 2014. Prior to that, he played three seasons at Wichita State, where he averaged 4.9 points and 2.3 rebounds in 15.2 minutes per game as a senior. The 24-year-old Wiggins played with the Timberwolves' summer league team in Las Vegas in July and scored 12 points in three games.Given his low profile, the deal was likely made as a gesture of goodwill by the organization to his younger brother after the 2014 No. 1 selection took home Rookie of the Year honors.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kickass ... and I'm all out of bubblegum.
What the heck is Nick doing there playing in the QBL??
I hope it was just a way to keep fresh and workout while doing some post grad work on the Great Barrier Reef, otherwise there's little excuse to be playing at that level.
