Remember Bruce Rasmussen is on the selection committee. That's all I'm gonna say.

Ah, I'm just gonna let people have there fun and let this play out over on my Illinois board. Not worth the energy. Someone just made this comment:
Half the midwest bracket is better than anyone Wichita State has played all season. I'm guessing they lose game 2 to Kentucky but can you imagine if they overlook Cal Poly/Texas So. and lose that first game?

The brackets have a way of working themselves out very unexpectedly. While the Midwest is brutal and the second game will be tough no matter the result, people are assuming that Louisville and Michigan-Duke will be waiting in Indy. That's rarely the way it works out.
I remember many years where I had hoped certain teams would lose in the first 2-3 rounds and was pleased with their matchups, only to find that those teams ended up with so-called easy paths to the Final Four anyway. Many, many upsets will happen, and until we see who we actually play, the only teams we need to focus on are those that will be in the Midwest Regional in St. Louis.
Just my two cents.

Not that I give a damn--anyone, anytime, anywhere--but so much for the "protected seed." Should UK beat KSU, Lexington is over 100 miles closer to St. Louis than Wichita is.
Should that game happen, I imagine there will be a lot of KU fans cheering on the Shockers, for what it's worth. The only thing a KU fan hates more than flat wine-coolers is Coach Cal.The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

I've been one to not like our pace-of-play over the last couple of months but this bracket is going to require superb control of the game pace by FVV and co. We can't let UK get out and run - not because they are unstoppable in the open floor - but because they could get us in foul trouble that way. Louisville doesn't need much of an explanation as to why it would be important to control the pace of the game. The mountains are calling, and I must go.
