Explain how we are insecure? Just because some of us hate Creighton?

I think you are just trying to project your opinion that we are insecure.

I'm sure 99% of us would rather be where WSU is right now as opposed to where CU is.

I'm pretty sure you're crazy. I'd rather be WSU and a Shocker to the core, for sure -- but if 99 percent of us would rather be in the Missouri Valley than the BIG EAST, then we're not a very smart crew. I can make up statistics, too -- I'm sure 99.5% of us would rather be in the BIG EAST than the MVC.

And the insecurity comes from the fact that every mention of Creighton around here makes people go blind with fury and start making things up and ignoring what is actually being said. I don't know who "gtmoblue" is. This is the only message board I read. I am just a humble Shocker fan who thought I'd be able to discuss basketball rationally with my fellow fans. I don't quite understand why our fans have to be so insecure about Creighton that the mere mention of them causes such an immediate reaction of ignoring all reality.

The original post I responded to specifically cited our record against "current and former Big East" schools, but ignored a huge percentage of our games against the current Big East. I always thought our fans prided themselves in being accurate, so I tried to fix that. I missed one, and thankfully somebody caught that one. More accurate facts are always better, imo. I didn't add them to make the BIG EAST have a winning record over us -- I added them because they are in that conference. That's all. It'd be like comparing post season success with the Big 12 but ignoring KU just because we're jealous of them -- makes no sense. Facts are facts, period.

I never said we have to bow down to the BIG EAST. Just because I mentioned Creighton in a post doesn't mean you have to make stuff up. I put BIG EAST in all caps because that's the official way the conference name is supposed to be. Again, just trying to be accurate.

We sure are an insecure lot around here, aren't we.

You need to be able to allow a little chest beating on a game day against the big east. :)

What's insecure is moving into a bigger, nicer house and then going back to your old neighborhood to make sure they knew you lived in a bigger, nicer house.

I don't see WSU fans posting on this board about Creighton, regardless of what they say is a sign of insecurity.

Hey, since we are on the subject of Creighton, I thought I'd let you all know that McFish has showed some solid consistency on the defensive front. Remember how he had 3 blocks for the whole season in over 1000 minutes of game time in 2011-12? He backed up that solid effort with a grand total of 2 blocks for the season last year.

I don't understand the "less athletic" argument. Can someone point me to a center more athletic than Coleby? I haven't seen one yet, and I've watch a fair amount of games. I've seen guys that are more skilled or more coordinated but not one that can clearly jump higher or run faster.

Same for Cotton, Early, Carter, and Lufile. And Baker and Wessel are hardly unathletic (see Baker's jam against Tulsa). At best you can say Van Vleet isn't super athletic for a PG, but don't tell that to the guys he has blown by in every game we've played so far. Part of the reason we were successful in March (and April!) was our ability to match up athletically with any team in the nation, when Valley teams in the past relied solely on hot shooting for their runs.

Still not a Creighton fan. Can someone point me to the list of specific personal views I have to have to be able to post my personal thoughts, actual facts or statistics, etc., without a call for being "banned" just for not pretending that reality is different than it is?

Except for the one small mistake where I missed that Syracuse game, please point out anything I've said that is even remotely inaccurate before you freak out about me being an insecure fan of another program. Every single thing I've posted has been correct and accurate. Really sorry if some of you are so insecure that you can't handle that.
