Tekele Cotton is a fine player, but he is no Warren Armstrong. Not even close.
I was the one that made the comparison. I am well aware that Cotton is not even close to Warren Armstrong, however, I stated that Cotton was a poor man's Armstrong and that they have similar size and skill set. Cotton is an athletic and physical guard/forward…that is all.

I think that Warren was poor also until he made the ABA Rookie of the Year.

Bigs often take a long time to develop. Fifth-year senior centers tend to be solid.

Will there be bingo at the senior center?

he has one year as a shocker. if he can do at center what armstead did at point guard... actually, i'm kind of expecting that.

I haven't seen anything to indicate Coleby has an offensive game other than right at the hoop. He's big enough and proportioned well enough to establish and maintain position on the block. FVV, Baker, Cotton, and probably others can make an entry pass.

With that in mind, he's going to be getting the ball in scoring position. Is an opponent going to pull a defender off of Baker, Early. or Carter to double Coleby? Good luck with that. If Coleby can catch and pass (skills that sometimes eluded Orukpe), then opponents can "pick their poison" when he gets the ball down low.

Sometimes the stats a player gets depend on what the players around him are doing. Chances are that Coleby could have had better stats at a higher-level program. I recall he was about 9 and 6 for his career to this point. In Marshall's system, that's all he needs to do. Bump the boards a bit the way Marshall coaches.

In his one season of Division 1 basketball as a "lower" Division 1 level, his states were not overwhelming.
If I recall correctly, he had the highest FG% in the Sun Belt, and was second in blocks per game.

His points per minute played his junior year was higher than anyone on our team last year but Early and Hall.

Might not be overwhelming, but I don't think we need overwhelming from him. If he's at least above average, I'm very confident about our season.

At the end of the video it sounds like the coach is talking to Kadeem. "I know you can dunk, I know you can dunk." Haha

Make it the smaller twin of our scoreboard.

The Mercer video boards are 7' x 14' (98 square feet)

Alright, we are two times better than they are. (I looked around but couldn't find any info on their set-up)

I like the 24-second clock interviews with the team. Entertaining.
