As a die hard Valley fan, it goes without saying that the performance of this year's Wichita State Shockers in the NCAA tournament was one that won't be forgotten. The new found (albeit long deserved) respect for the conference due to the efforts of Coach Marshall and this year's team will pay dividends going forward. It was a historic ride - one in which I really felt Wichita State was the better team in every NCAA game they played, including last night.
Being able to speak with many of the coaches and players through the radio program, I wanted to say thanks to all of you for the support you have for your team. It does not go unnoticed by the rest of the league.
We had a lot of fun this year working with the Valley in airing The MVC Hoops Show. We have started preliminary discussions with our sponsor to see if we will be continuing the program next season. In our first year of producing the show, Wichita State and the Valley made the final four - who knows what might happen next season?
