    Interesting way to put it

    What he wrote probably is correct for the city of Wichita and our basketball team, but the term "Play Angry" was hi-jacked. That's not what it means at all.

      Some people simply cannot think outside their own perception of things. Doing any real research might threaten their bias. what is that? Play Angry? Oh, it's Wichita. They must feel disrespected by KC and Lawrence. Let me write an ignorant column about it. Yay!

      I think I read somewhere else, when referencing this article, that the writer is a KU alum. But I can't confirm.

        He is according to Wiki, I particularly like this sentence in his Wiki profile;

        "Helliker is a graduate of the Department of English at the University of Kansas. He remains a passionate Jayhawks basketball fan". I guess that explains it.

              That we are the Rodney Dangerfield's of college basketball? I too can't figure out the intent of the article.

                  WSU is still playing in April; KU is not. Simple as that.

                  You mad, bro?

                    From the tone of Helliker's article I get the sense he's angry that the Shocks are playing in April and his alma mater is not. Bitterness, it is a self-destructive trait.

                    Go Valley!!

                          Not only was that article condescending towards us, it wasn't even well written.

                          So I like articles from the Huffington Post and the NY Times...and I hate one from the WSJ.

                          Hell really must be freezing over. :)

                              Now the Wichita Business Journal is running this slop. Please send them an email or tweet letting them know your thoughts.
