These guys didn't just beat the odds against anyone, they did it against the #1 team in the country. Clutch.

I thought Paul Suellentrop hit out of the park with this follow-up report on the Shocks win over Gonzaga:
The cold numbers show the Shockers scored on 10 of their final 12 possessions — including five straight three-pointers — to outscore one of the nation’s best scoring teams 25-12 in the final 6:05.

It may be just me, I'm getting a little fed up about reading how the Zags choked and how they lost to a team who had 6 MVC losses (twice to Evansville). Doesn't the national media understand that the MVC was the 9th ranked conference (out of 33) and that Evansville has been hovering in and out of the top 100 in the RPI most of the year? As WSU fans, it's hard to accept being swept by EU, but this year they weren't exactly Presbyterian College. It's too bad that Evansville's name just oozes 'small time' and they and we suffer for it. If we had lost two games to Boston College, Vanderbilt, Rutgers, Dayton and Texas would the national media still point this out? (Those teams all have worse RPI's than Evansville).
I digress, but it's crap like that I hope continues to leave a chip on the player's shoulders.
