  • Man... even watching right now, I STILL feel like we're gonna lose after Pangos makes those threes late in the second half

But this team fought through adversity all year and they weren't gonna just give up. I love this team.

Yeah, it is hard to come up with a word to describe tonight. Awesomestupendousinvigoratinginspirationalcalledby DickieVtimelessunforgetablepriceless.

I felt much better at half time when the Round Mound of Rebound said Gonzaga would come back and win which all but guaranteed a Shocker win.

After the Pitt game 3G told his players that he had no problem with any of the shots they took in that game. He wanted them to keep taking good shots but just start making them. They just reported on ESPN that the Shocks hit 7 threes without a miss down the stretch tonight.

This game was kind of a microcosm of our entire season. So much adversity to deal with and to overcome and such remarkable toughness and grit shown by these young men in overcoming that adversity.

Perhaps a much simpler word applies tonight. Pride. So proud of this team.

        Go Shocks!

Malcom was but he was crushed by a screen by Harris. Didn't really notice it in real time but caught in watching the replay. Malcolm had no chance.

          • I thought Fred Van Vleet would become one of my favorite Shockers back when I was watching his videos from HS.

I didn't realize Baker would join him. Ignore the beautiful 3s ... he made so many incredible plays throughout that game. I'll never forget seeing him come flying out of absolutely no where to grab a rebound. I swear there were four people going for it, and he just appeared on it out of thin air. He is so good at all of the little things ... boxing it, being in the right spot at the right time, putting so much effort into everything. The 3s are just a bonus.

And God that FVV shot was amazing. I didn't even notice him holding the pose afterwards because I was so busy falling off the couch.

I love everyone on this team. I don't want this season to end, but I already can't wait for the next three years of the FVV and Baker show. I'm so happy Matt Braeuer found a way to get another four years of eligibility. (Speaking of which, some great tweets from him: https://twitter.com/MattBraeuer My favorite: "Did this clown just say their first ever Sweet 16 trip?? Someone get this man some notes!!")

Can't wait to rock the Shocker gear at tomorrow's WSU/Hawaii baseball game.

              • Hopefully, a couple of you out there will finally understand why I've been hyping Baker for 2 years now.

So many good stories...so little time. I'm off to bed. Gotta plan for the LA trip.

Love this team and these coaches.

                • I have to admit that this win is better at keeping me up all night than any of my favorite espresso drinks.

                  • I was extremely nervous about the Pitt game up until Thursday when I woke up with a strange feeling in my stomach (thankfully not in my lower right quadrant) akin to confidence and pure elation. I don't know what it was but I was just extremely happy on Thursday morning and then I realized we were gonna be OK in both our games.

Told my friends today that WSU would win going away, and that it might not be close, and had we not given up so many Offensive boards it wouldn't have been close.

Goodness gracious, what a game, what a team, what a night. Driving back in a blizzard while being estatic over a shocker win is an amazing feeling. One I feel I might be getting used to feeling should the man in charge be around a lot longer.

                              • Woah, you wanna know what's really weird?

PJ Couisnard's fadeaway 3 against Tennesee with the shot clock winding down put us up 70 to 65.

Fred Van Vleet's amazing 3 with the shot clock winding down also put us up 70 to 65.
