I made a Tekele Cotton post after the Pitt game, I'll do it again.

Starting guard Gary Bell Jr. held to 0 points on 0-2 shooting with 1 turnover and 0 assists.

Star of the Game. Ron Baker, Wichita State. First off, this is a kid that missed the last 21 game of the regular season, returning only in time for the start of the MVC Tournament, where he immediately jumped back into the fire by dropping 15 points. He joined the starting lineup against Pitt (but went 0-of-5 from the field), then tonight dropped a phenomenal game, doing a little bit of everything for the Shockers. He scored 16 points, knocked down four threes, grabbed six boards and has four assists, along with some excellent defense against the Zag guards. In a game with a six-point final margin, the Shockers were +19 with Baker on the floor.

cotton is an awesome defender and one of the best in the country, but Bell also didn't play the 2nd half I believe after injuring himself

It's true, but was a non factor when he was in and frankly our guards (not just Tekele) shut down their guards except for when we had to go zone because of foul trouble. In man to man, their guards got very little.

He is just a total punk. Is he still butthurt from WSU beating him in his last game as a coach? I don't get it.

I really liked how tough we played their bigs. Olynyk still played well, but he was pushed around and blocked and frustrated often. Nothing comes easy against the shox.
