It is a great idea, but there is only one problem. The promotions department topped out with throwing a tennis ball into a washing machine.

There is plenty of dance and music talent in Wichita to perform the production. Of course, the Shocker band would be the starting point.

A few years late - but how would I go about downloading some of these?

Adding on - does anyone have some mp3's of the current day songs?

Here is the link to the complete directory online. You should be able to right click on a link and "Save as..." to get the file.

              What? No "My Girl"?

Pete Gunn, one of the all time best arrangements.

              Thanks for you listing.

Current member reporting in! While I like the idea, it's not really up to us on whether or not we can do something like this. The athletics department has all final say on anything we want to do, even down to the level of telling us some songs we can play and when we play them. We still choose most of our songs, but if they call it, we have to follow. Earlier this year there was the plan for wearing period clothing for MTXE night and doing some really cool throwback songs, but athletics didn't support it and gave us yellow sweatbands to wear instead. I think the band would be on board, just have to convince the guys in charge to change their plans.

My hearing may just be going - but is Shocker Fight not played at games anymore?

Yellow sweatbands? Tennis balls in a washing machine? Which do I like best?

                      Lord, take me now.

It's played predominantly at women's game. Somewhere along the line before my time, Hail became the go to for Men's games. We work fight in occasionally, but from a musical standpoint it's a little less exciting than Hail, and it makes it easier to call one song for men's, one song for women's. It makes for smoother callouts

The sweatbands were better in theory than execution. We were sold the idea that they would be cool throwback sweatbands with MTXE sewn into them, instead 5 minutes before the game we grabbed sharpies and tried to write neatly in a rush.

The ball toss is always a cringe worthy affair to watch. Along with where's Wu. Poor people can't hear down on the court.
