DePaul is surprisingly playing their way towards being a Q1. Playing like the 45th best team in D1 so far. Just need to make it into the top 75 since it's a road game.

DePaul might be ok but they are >100 in Kenpom. You really can't take anything they have done this season seriously. Here are their opponents kenpom ranks this year: 286, 344, 241, 232, 336, 335. One of those games went to OT even. So I wouldn't count on them as a for sure Q1

Definitely, just saying they are playing better than expected. If you take out the preseason bias, they are playing like the 45th best team in D1 so far.

Eh I don't think you can accurately adjust any stats against that awful of a schedule. I'll be shocked if it ends up a Q1 game

I hear you and would agree if I felt we were definitely gonna be a bubble team. But I am just expecting baby steps at this point. Now, maybe I will feel differently and look back at this game differently if we somehow play onto the bubble....but for now I am just gonna enjoy the wins and try not to sweat the losses unless it is a losing streak or a super bad loss.

Obviously I want our 7th win tomorrow though. So hopefully it will be an early Christmas gift for Shockernation.

I am more disappointed in our conference more than anything.

Time will tell! Usually bad teams don't produce the metrics DePaul has, even against weak competition, but it could be fool's gold.

I hear you and would agree if I felt we were definitely gonna be a bubble team. But I am just expecting baby steps at this point. Now, maybe I will feel differently and look back at this game differently if we somehow play onto the bubble....but for now I am just gonna enjoy the wins and try not to sweat the losses unless it is a losing streak or a super bad loss.

I agree about being disappointed with the conference. It's bad.

I would agree about baby steps if we weren't going to lose nearly every contributor and at least 80% of the roster after this year. We are in this weird spot where we really shouldn't expect a ton this year... But also already can't expect a ton next year. So I'm putting a little higher hope in this senior heavy group to overachieve

My (very) optimistic view is that winning this season will result in more NIL and a better roster next year.

I agree and hope for the same. I think we can win enough to accomplish that. Just need to keep seeing improvement.
