Snapping Gators are not to be ignored or they will take a chunk out of a teams backside. Coach Forbes Wakes beat them last Season, and had a nice lead in the first half, only to lose by 17 today. They are obviously better in all facets than the Gophers. Our Shocks must have our best shooting night of this or last Season to pull this off. AJ, Hill, and Washington will make some 3s, but our focus must be to enter the swamp and take it to the rack and kick it when needed to open Shocks or at least do some head and shoulder fakes. Do all of above or Florida will do the "gators see you later wave." Cortez makes a 3 at the buzzer for the 1 point surpass and 7-0.

      Shockers 77

      Gators 76
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

It's not WuOracle but according to the AI I used:

While official betting odds for the Florida vs. Wichita State game on November 29, 2024, have not been released as of now, analyzing the teams' current forms and statistics provides insight into Wichita State's chances.

        Factors Favoring Wichita State:

        1. Defensive Strength: The Shockers employ aggressive man-to-man defense and have a strong shot-blocking presence, particularly with Quincy Ballard, who leads in blocks and field goal percentage.

        2. Roster Depth: Despite injuries to key players like Ronnie DeGray III, Wichita State's roster includes experienced players with NCAA Tournament experience.

        3. Efficient Offense: They rank among the top teams nationally in free throws made per game, showcasing their ability to capitalize on fouls.

        Challenges:

        1. Free-Throw Consistency: Despite their volume, Wichita State has struggled with accuracy at the line, which could prove critical in a close game.

        2. Key Injuries: Missing contributors like DeGray III reduces their flexibility against a physically imposing team like Florida.

        3. Opposition Quality: Florida's athleticism and depth give them a significant edge in tempo and rebounding.

        Prediction:

Considering Florida's strength and Wichita State's current vulnerabilities, Florida is likely the favorite. However, Wichita State's defensive capabilities and depth provide them with a realistic chance of pulling an upset. Statistically, Wichita State might have a 25-35% chance to win, contingent on limiting Florida's fast breaks and improving free-throw accuracy.

Uh, in the years prior, DePaul was losing a bunch of these games. I've watched them a few times this year. They're much improved and they're doing exactly what good teams should be doing to inferior opponents at home (unlike us vs Monmouth.)

Track is right, they look like a definite Q1 opponent at the moment.

Lots of negativity around here as of late, but we have a whole position that’s basically empty because of injuries (RD3 & Meeks). Whether it’s on Bell, Cortes, or whoever, we’ve got 6 wins and 0 losses so far tonight. Yea, we’ll probably get stuffed tonight. But I think it’s clear that Mills is squeezing everything he can out of players who were loyal enough to stick around (or maybe just didn’t have better offers on portals but I digress).

Plenty of optimism as of late too. No doubt RD3's rebounding was missed yesterday, but that doesn't mean it's acceptable to give up 13 offensive rebounds.

Mills definitely deserves credit for the roster improvements: bringing in a quality PG, upgrading Rogers with Washington, keeping QB and others, etc. I'm still not sold on the game plans and execution yet. A win today would help eliminate my doubts.
