Our only issue is the two losses to teams who are not wichita state. We are a good loss that doesn't hurt cu and VCU. We may be 3-0 against the top 50 and 2-0 against the top 25 but we also have losses to two 100 range teams (albeit road losses). I can see either side of the argument pretty easily.

As a WSU fan I would point to the injury report to explain both losses and then use that as my justification for why we could be higher. On the other hand it's hard to complain about 21, 20, 17 and 15...

But we will never be happy until we are undeafeated, #1 in everything, kicking the crap out of whoever steps up in the national championship game on a regular basis. We, as fans, must expect the best!!! :)

WSU just has to win. That's what talks. Winning. With a full, healthy team, they will show everyone just how good they are.

THIS!!! The Shocks cannot afford another loss in the next 3 weeks. Our last four games are not kind. 1 home game against Evansville and 3 away games against Ill St, IN St, and CU.

@ ISUr (ESPNU), Bracketbuster (ESPN2 likely), and @ CU (not announced yet but undoubtedly ESPN or ESPN2 since they reserve the right to pick it up) will all be nationally televised.

Take care of business between now and the beginning of that 5 game closing stretch and we'll be playing for a ridiculously good seed in the national spotlight.

The key is to have some staying power in the polls. Don't fall into Wednesday being a trap game. Kill SWMO. Take care of business at home. Establish a body of work to get inside the top-15. Then, IF we slip up against UNI or ISUB, it won't send us to the "other" category. Lets continue building our body of work Wednesday. Go SHOX!!!

That will be a tough stretch. OTOH, considering our injury situation it may be best that our toughest stretch of games is at the end of the regular season. Carl and EO should be pretty close to 100% by then and hopefully, Ron is back to the point where we can start working him back into the mix against MSU and Drake on Feb 9 and 13 before we head into the tough 5-game closing stretch.

Seth Greenberg is just a BCS goon. He had Maryland in his Top 15 for a while and I think there were 2 weeks where he didn't even rank Creighton (he forgot supposedly, and had to change his ballot to include them in there after being told he left them out). Just getting in his Top 25 is a huge statement.

You're right about Rece. He loved us last year too. I like that guy on our side.

Totally agree. We lucked out there. Carl will be 100% and Baker should be close to getting back into typical game shape.

They're sitting at 64 right now.

Iowa's schedule is set up much, much easier on the back end. WarrenNolan.com projects otherwise, but I'm very confident they will end up in the top 50.
