Relatively speaking if you have come from somewhere that doesn't experience big temperatures changes, Sunday's 3pm temp of 57 may have felt chilly after Saturday 3pm of 97 and heat index of 100+! Since then we've been around 70 for highs and forecast for next 10 days between 70-80...Perfect!!!

Can’t wait for the season to begin…will this new group make us forget the past few years. I’m hoping for a 20+ season with a better brand of ball … love this time of year. Baseball playoffs around the corner, football in full swing and basketball gearing up shortly!

Anything other than top 4 conference finish is a failure imo

Lindy's Mag. had an article written by Brian Hull stating that the AAC was really hit with the portal transfer/NIL era. They picked WSU 4th out of 13 teams. He mentioned that 18 of the top 20 scorers are departed as well as 34 of the top 39 three point shooters, and 13 of the top 14 rebounders. Beverly and Ballard were selected to the 3rd team All-Conference Team. On their Honor Roll picks, I had overlooked that they selected Ronnie DeGray as the Top Defender.

Anything other than top 4 conference finish is a failure imo

If you take out the two seasons ('20 & '21) that were impacted by Covid, you basically have to get to 12-6 to feel fairly confident about getting to at least 4th place.

So, for an 18-game season, probably have to go a 7-2 at home (or better) and then go 5-4 on the road.

Who are the two Centers better than Ballard in our league?

Their 3 teams listed 12 guards, 2 forwards, and QB as the only center.

Mills has done well this off-season to force expectations. 11 of 14 scholarship players bring legit experience, either multiple D1 or professional seasons. Kind of feel like, if they can't win now then when? Everything's lined up for a successful season, which at bare minimum should include some form of postseason. Stakes are high for Mills to produce.

Put it this way, if we're.500 or barely above with no postseason then what do you think will be the overall mood with the fan base? I didn't mention firing because that's highly unlikely. I do believe this season will end with either future hopes and expectations or we're staring at a lame duck coach.

If he can't win 15 this year ..the chances of winning less than 15 next year is even higher due to the number of players needing to be replaced and the lack of momentum. Then he is likely gone after next year as Marshall and Brown and Wedge payments will be going away then.

We REALLY need this year to be a good season with some sort of postseason
