For the day, the Shockers are:
2 and 3
Regular Season (Games of Interest):
1920 – Won at Friends in Wichita 34-22
1915 – Won vs Friends in Wichita (Forum) 30-17
Other:
2000 - Athletic Director Jim Schaus turned to Topeka-native and former University of Kansas point guard, Mark Turgeon on March 11, 2000. That would prove to be a wise decision. Shocker fans who may have had reservations about bringing in a former Jayhawk were quickly won over as Turgeon breathed life into the program. He improved the Shockers' win totals in each of his first six seasons (8, 15, 18, 21, 22, and eventually 26).
