      • Terrible start but once the light bulb came on we took control and looked pretty good for the most part. I’ll take it.

        • Mop up time turned out to be just that but the last 10 minutes of the 1st half and the 1st 15 minutes of the 2nd half were quite good. Whether or not they can wash, rinse and repeat remains to be seen. You always look better when you're knocking down shots.

            • Not sure how someone like Flannigan hasn’t played once all year. I mean I get it, it’s not A+ competition. But with some of the issues we’ve had… that guy deserves a little run.

Decent game. Seemed like Alcorn State waiting to happen at the beginning. Good for some bench guys bringing energy to flip things.

              • 16 assists & 8 blocks are good numbers. Porter with only 2 turnovers (7 assists) also very good.

                • Glad to see we took care of Longwood.

They were stroking it early but once we choked them out they dried up and went limp.

Craig was very good today despite not having any of the Shocks' 8 blocks. In 26 minutes he scored 16 points on 4-6 from the field and 7-7 from the line, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, only 2 turnovers, and 2 steals. One big key was the way Craig was able to come back into the 1st half after picking up 2 early fouls and played very well without fouling again in the game.

I don't know if you meant me or not, but I wasn't "dissing" the idea. Just facts. Played in only 1 game (coach wasn't playing him) before today for 3 minutes, made 2 FT, no assists and 1 TO. Facts is all I based my comment on. While I'm at it, Flanagan had 2 assists, 3 TOs, and 14 points. That looks very much like a Porter line, except he had 7 assists today with only 2 TOs and 16 points.

I couldn’t watch but tracked the score and it looked like Longwood was playing hard early.

                              • I know many of you are going to get overly excited. Don't. Longwood was the worst defensive team we have faced.........by far. Flannigan with a nice game. Can he be consistently good? Will see but I am not a buyer yet. Once again, JP is our SG. XB is aiming his shots. My starting line up would be QB at center, KP at PF, Walton, JP and CP and play 3-2 zone. As much as Rojas has disappointed me taking care of the ball he is our one and ONLY back to the basket guy with KP having some potential. He has to post up deeper and go up strong. The ability is there the toughness / confidence isn't. Also, our offensive philosophy just isn't geared or focused on getting the ball down low to our centers. Love Walton's overall game ! Our half court offense the first ten minutes was putrid. Again, don't let this game fool you
