That was my error on the tread title. Maybe a moderator can fix it to show: 2022-2023 NET/RPI Rankings

Could be. Although I wonder if the WSU athletic department (specifically facilities and gameday ops) wanted to make sure they had control of it and IBA didn't screw anything up because if they do, WSU hears about it, not necessarily IBA.

But yeah it would have been really nice to have a neutral game win, specifically in 2015, 2016.

Good gracious. The Valley is better than most (not all) of those teams.

Is there a spot in the Big East opening soon?

The question is, will it be harder to sell the IBA game to potential "name" opponents now that they will get less NET benefit (or penalty) from playing there? It may cease to be the selling point it once was. On the other hand, for any potential opponent, it's one or two games spread over 2-4 years. So maybe not.

If we become relevant again I don't think being a neutral site harms us in attracting an opponent. Many would still see a benefit and they wouldn't be playing in the Roundhouse which is the ultimate selling point to many potential opponents.

Not for the Shox in their current state, that is for darn sure.

I don't know, a guaranteed win against a recognizable brand seems attractive.

Part of WSU being at home for Intrust ga,es was so that IBA could be used to host NCAA tournament.
