Some other "Home Run" guys I'd kick the tires on for sure would be: Beard, Pitino, Wright, Mack
ORU, Furman, UCSB, Drake, and Charleston coaches would be ones that I could get on board with, if Saal has the same judgment about them that Schaus had about Marshall. The Assman

I will reserve more of an opinion once we actually hire somebody, but my wish list for a new coach is one that:
1. Can engage the fan and donor base
2. Brings some consistent toughness back to the program and make us a team nobody wants to face
3. Creates a culture of a team that can finish games. There were so many close games over the past 3 years that we just didn't make winning plays down the stretch or were set up well for that
Dont care how long it takes as long as we get the right guy.

Chris Jans would be my absolute first choice as it stands today. Would he be willing to leave the SEC is the question. Perhaps he and his family like Wichita better than Starville??? Perhaps the money is there to lure him back to a SOLD-OUT Roundhouse everynight??? Perhaps he knows he could win the AAC more times than not guaranteeing multiple NCAA tourneys??? Perhaps he is more inclined to be at a BASKETBALL school first??? Perhaps he knows he can consistently recruit Top 150 players to Wichita with a solid NIL backing in place.
I dunno...but there's our homerun hire that instantly puts BUTTS back in the SEATS!!!

He forgot a G....but yeah......
Still won't happen, but I am sure we will continue to hear plenty of this until someone gets hired. Just hope no one goes too hard on Saal when that person ISN'T Marshall.
