I would rank them, based on my uneducated opinion:

1 - Pracht
2 - Harrity
3 - McGiffin
4 - Garrett

I agree. The more I think about it, the more I like Garrett. He has experience at WSU and has led a D-1 athletic department.

If we were hiring a coach, would you want a high level assistant, or a head coach working his way up?

I think both Garrett and Pracht are good choices.

I think I'd rank them as Pracht, Harrity, Garrett, McGuffin.

Wonder if it's really down to these four or if there are other names out there. But I feel each of these guys do offer things that could make them successful here.

I have the first three really close in my mind. Nothing against McGuffin, but the others make me feel more optimistic for some reason.

I think Pracht gets the edge for working under the legend that was Schaus as well as his successes since he left.

Harrity and Garrett offer different things and are pretty much tied for 2nd for me. Just depends on what I'm prioritizing when it comes down to them.

Also, if the names we have are the four, that would seem to imply that Garrett and McGuffin would have the edge as they are current ADs elsewhere. Whereas Pracht and Harrity are deputy ADs.

It's fairly common I believe. Even if not on campus, they would be under a microscope in town. I want to say they've used KC before for certain interviews. And I know I've heard of other schools handling hires similarly.

It seems like I remember reading that Jim Schaus met Mark Turgeon in Atlanta (Mark was at Jacksonville State) to discuss the position wayback when.

My guess is the Athletic department is flying each to MCI on airline miles accrued from paying the buy outs with their Capital One Platinum Visa.
