    • I wouldn't be surprised if someone like Wessel is knowledgeable or will become so by the time the start breaking down and questioning finalists. I'm sure he, or someone, could easily reach out to Armchair or someone else familiar with them to get enough of an understanding to do the job.

      • Having been around the hiring process for Schaus, I can assure you that it isn't simple or easy. Having done an outside search, it brought in several candidates, but at that time Schaus wasn't concerned with bringing in football and that, iirc, helped him out.

It was an interesting process and I hope that much time is taken to do a thorough search and interview process. Does the ICAA committee still have alot of say in this process?

Outfricking standing list of consultants right there! Good first step!

          • Muma is winning so far. Well done. Keep this mindset during the process and I am confident a good choice will be made.

I like it.....ESPECIALLY the communication. Keep that going!

            • @rrshock, since you were around the Schaus process, is this a four to six-week process or is it quicker than that?

That stadium must come down as it detracts from the great buildings around the rest of the campus, which is why someone other than the AD will end up paying for the demolition. The entire time that is happening funding for a new one could be complete.
Replace the grass field with one of those durable artificial turf fields that the city league schools have gone to. They can handle football and soccer, plus WSU could add lacrosse, ultimate frisbee football, and outdoor drone racing.

Soccer is a completely different game on those fields.

I understand they are easier to maintain, but if they want to be serious about soccer, grass the better route.

                        • At first glance, the list of names looks to be a really good cross section of WSU related folks that should be able to assist with making a good hire.

President Muma does seem to be having a good week....good for him, and darned good for WSU and Wichita as a whole if you ask me.

I wonder though, what prompted the almost immediate raise for former ADDB? There seems to be no valid reason for it.......and was that the only position that was increased to represent relative worth, at that moment?

                          I'm very cautiously optimistic.

I had to look up bunnock - hadn't heard of it.

Might as well throw horseshoes and cornhole in the mix as well given there's a collegiate cornhole league (https://www.iplaycornhole.com/college)

I think Tag is mainly an indoor sport these days. Fox shows it with the Watt brothers as host - https://www.fox.com/ultimate-tag/ :)

You are right. I did read somewhere there was a product in the works that might be acceptable to players.
