Too bad they're splitting things evenly and he'll get that much for not doing anything. They'd be better off giving everyone something like 50K and then splitting the remainder based on a team vote and give extra to high scorers, most assists, most steals, most playing time, etc. Would be great PR too if they would donate some money back to the NIL collective to use for current athletes.

Trey Wade played for Team Arkansas (their TBT team) this year .. guessing his future time will be there also.

Maybe, but maybe not. Shannon Shorter played here in 2019 and then played with Bleed Green this year. So guys can move around.

Right, but UNT didn't have a team in 2019. They aren't locked in to a team though .. you are correct on that.

We're probably getting ahead of ourselves. Can they win it all? I do think this is a learning point for the future. They need to make damn sure anyone they are recruiting is game fit, and I like your idea of capping the payout and then having some bonus incentives for the guys that do the heavy lifting.

I almost wonder if this is a favor or request granted to someone to put him on the roster with no intent of him taking a spot in the future. Kind of like, okay he can play this year, but our guys are serious and can’t afford to do it anymore.

A lot of these guys have much affection or at least respect for FHCGM so I’m rethinking the vindictive angle.

              FHCGM last night from couch:

“Those are my m’fing plays they are running!”

              • Any thoughts on this quote from Taylor's article? What do you think he is referencing in the bolded part?

“It’s just extremely fun for everyone,” Frankamp said. “I think everybody knows that we had some tough times here at Wichita State, so for us to be able to come back and win and celebrate like this together is super special. I know everyone loves coming back for this and it’s just a lot of fun.”

                • Some people on here are selling older players a little short. I know I did. At 34 Clevin Hannah was very instrumental in helping the AS, and he knew his role and didn't try to surpass what he could do. He's a smart player, and he can still play.

"I’ll always remember’: Clevin Hannah delays retirement to help AfterShocks win in TBT"

Leaving the Koch Arena floor following the celebration with Wichita State fans, Hannah could be heard saying, “The old man’s still got it!” “I’m just happy that I did choose to play with these guys again,” said Hannah, who was originally slated to just be a coach on this year’s TBT team. “As the oldest guy on the team, to have a game like I did (Monday) is unbelievable and it’s amazing for me, man.” It was quite the spectacle to see the diminutive point guard slash through defenses and bring the Roundhouse crowd to its feet more than a decade after the 2010 Wichita State graduate departed the program.
