Bad coaching there, imo. We had a chance, but not with that play. Whatever it was.

We knew what they were going to do and we didn't come ready to play in the first half. It's too bad because if we play two halves of basketball and we are moving on. But its March and we played like it was early January. I feel sorry for the guys but you have to execute and we didn't tonight. Good season boys and keep your heads up. We all still loved watching you guys play the game. Thanks for the ride.

You beat me to it...that's it in a nutshell. We didn't start playing until halfway through the 2nd half.
You can blame it on whatever you want, but that's the bottom line.

Missed 40 shots, shot 37.5% from the field, 29.4% from three and missed 4 free throws.

Those stats hurt. 29.4% from the 3? Eek. And so many shots missed. Ill give VCU some credit, they played their game, but I think this was way more on us sucking/losing than it was on them winning

I agree, I think maybe a timeout or some fouling with a minute and a half left just to slow the game down may have been to our advantage but aside from that there is nothing more Marshal could have done to keep these guys in it, except, and I say except because I would have like to see this, but draw a Technical in the first half on one of the fouls on stutz or a no call on hall.

I agree. Last 7 minutes of the MVC game and this one, the coach can't shoot the BB.
