I know the hate runs deep with you Fever, but I am surprised that some Shocker fans would root for a Roy Williams team to win against anyone.

For years on ValleyTalk, WSU fans claimed that Roy Williams, while at KU, reported WSU to the NCAA for alleged recruiting violations after you guys got a kid that ole Roy wanted. The posts claimed that Williams' complaints led to a full scale investigation of WSU's athletic department by the NCAA gestapo. Is that story true, loaded with hyperbole or completely apocryphal?

Generally, I understand rooting against Creighton. But I'm surprised a bit about this one.

From my good sources, it was true.

Funny, I was thinking of that too this week. That happened over 15 years ago. A lot of posters on this board were in grade school. Others, I think, have moved on since Roy kinda put the screws to KU when he left. Plus, our regime at the time ended up getting fired.
I think it's an out of sight out of mind kind of thing now.

I hate Roy. I don't hate Carolina. I don't hate Mac or Mac Jr. Coach Mac has rubbed me the wrong way a couple of times, but other than a inexplicable hardon that so many have for him (has he ever won his conference?) and an apparent lack of free time that forces him to call us Wichita instead of Wichita State, he's a decent guy. Of course, I despise most CU fans.

I've watched almost no basketball since the end of our game. Unless Norfolk State and Lehigh happen to make the Final Four, I doubt I'll watch much more. I simply don't care.

Do WSu fans take offense when people refer to WSU as "Wichita"? I had no idea that was offensive to you guys and doubt that anybody says it to get a rise out of WSU fans. Has WSU ever considered dropping "state" like Memphis did years back?

This UNI-Drexel game is eerily similar to ours with VCU. Drexel went up early, UNI rallied, their star player missed an easy shot, and then they missed one at the buzzer for the win. Bizarre. 65-63 Drexel final.

Guess the CAA owns the Valley this year. Period.

1. Hating is a sin.

2. I always like the type kids Roy brought in at KU. They were quality kids like what Marshal brings in. Now Brown or self not so much.
