Those who have the financial backing (Booster $$$) have the resources to peddle influence and garner favor where others who play by the rules get squeezed out.
And its about to get even worse, if that was possible.
Keep in mind the NCAA and their gang of minions lost bazillions of cash when the 2020 show was cancelled.
Bazillions.
They made some of it back last year, but nothing like the usual March cash cow.
Well it certainly was a return to normalcy this year and the NCAA has its usual alliance with the P5 power brokers back operating at full capacity.
It is what it is.
That is all.Above all, make the right call.

The ONLY thing to bring back a semblance of awesome college experience is for the NBA to champion a national division system, just like the rest of the world.
Kiss the NCAA goodbye. Title IX is left in the dust; that federal law has no meat anymore given the new NIL situation.
Division A = NBA Championship League (NBA as we know it)
Division 1 = NBA One (next level pro -- probably similar to euro teams)
Division 2 = NBA Two
Division 3 = NBA Three (and so on)
...
All colleges field a team that can climb the ladder -- even to the NBA ranks if they were good enough. They will also relegate themselves.
Colleges and pro/semi-pro squads will fight it out. The advantage of going to a college vs a pro/semi-pro team will be free schooling while you ball. The advantage of semi-pro over college is more moolah up front (probably) but with risk of not having a degree to fall back on. All colleges will be on an equal playing ground at this point -- if you put resources toward your basketball team, you will climb the ladder. If you don't, you will fall in rank.

In this new era big money boosters are more vital than ever. Big problem is do we have any left? Uncle Chuck gave us a little sofa change over 2 decades ago but in the grand scheme of things really doesn't care about athletics. The court namesake has left the building. Not sure what well we're drawing from.
