":So we go to Sam's Saloon down in the Stockyards to sing. It's a Wednesday and there's maybe 9 peeps in the joint and they all sing. Couple of them are ok. Anyway, the DJ keeps comin over and talkin. Talked about Merle. "I've drank a lot of cold beers with that guy," he said. Then....."Willie, that's my golfin buddy." And, "that Seger, he's a great guy." …...Or "after our wreck, them state troopers tole me it was the biggest damn mule deer they ever saw." "Yep that van rolled 15 times, sideways, ended up on it's top. Me and the wife both walked away." I just kep noddin my head and repeating, "is that a fact?"Comment
