Fair enough. I didn't say he had anyone under him but just that he might have thought he did.
This could be a first on the men's basketball thread. A player on this year team said to be thinking. Always a silver lining.
However, my take is more likely that he did it because he wasn't thinking. Not a huge deal. The game had long been over. This happened with about 4 minutes to play. Perhaps HCIB should have taken in out of the game for a minute or so and then put him back in for the final 3 minutes. It was a move I might expect out of a Memphis team but I expect more out of the Shockers.
All-in-all though it probably wasn't that all the big of a deal. I would put it about on par with Fridge Holman flinging his head band (I think that was a thing wasn't it). The Shockers were well passed embarrassment at that point. However, it might tell you something about the maturing that Jenkins needs to do. But if you are going to play let the dawgs be dawgs style you pretty much have to give them a very long leash and let them express themselves.
The best play of the game was an unconventional 4 point play by Porter ... to go down 21 ... The 2nd best play ... was a technical.
Could have been a 5-point play. Thought a foul could have called on the 2nd basket of the sequence. But unconventional is certainly the right word to describe it.
The 7 steals by Craig were impressive but he cancelled quite a bit of those out with 5 turnovers.
But hey Craig tied a school record and Tyson joined the 1,000 point club so let's focus on what's important.
LOL, which one of our players looks "bulked up?" Every one of our players that takes in "strong" to the hoop gets it ripped, slapped out of our hands, put back in our face, or just plain has it taken from them. This team is WEAK! I keep reading about this fantastic strength coach, I don't see the results.
If you don’t think Tyson and Dexter are heavy on muscle, I don’t know what to say. But I didn’t suggest that the added muscle somehow makes the players play tougher.
My point was simply that bulk muscle doesn’t usually help with mechanics driven motions like shooting from deep or golf swings. While there are always counter examples, in general this tends to be the case.
