    I took a look over the last 8 AAC seasons, and if you finished with the following conference records, you typically placed:

    1st = 15-3 (83.3% wins)
    2nd = 14-4 (77.8% wins)
    3rd = 13-5 (72.2% wins)
    4th = 11-7 (61.1% wins)
    5th = 10-8 (55.6% wins)

      We are struggling to score against teams and coaches we don't play against twice a year. It's likely to get even more difficult going up against conference teams who know what we're trying to do and know our players' tendencies. It's entirely realistic we could finish around .500.

      That said, I also think we will likely finish 3rd to 5th.

        I originally thought 10 or 11 wins in conference. We almost certainly will start the conference 0 and 2. We've lost 2 out of the last 3 home games. I can't see more than 8 conference wins at this point. If we don't find some answers soon this season could get really ugly. I can't remember ever seeing a Shocker team come out of the tunnel after half time looking as down as this one did today. HCIB has to turn it around now.

            #Truth Not that I was expecting much different, but that was a beaten down, destroyed bunch that cowered as they took the floor. I felt terrible for them. It was painful.

              It appears the other team knew exactly what we were going to do, every single play. perhaps they stole our green notebook and now we are just trying to find plays to run.

              We on the other hand looked like this was the first time we had seen this team play. We were not prepared. That is 100% on the coaching staff.

                Why was that do you think? did the first half expose them to superior athletes, and that demoralized them? Think HCIB did something at halftime? Other reason? Just curious, thanks.

                  I suppose we'll be the smallest team in the league. We will probably not be the most well coached. We cannot shoot.

                    There is no way the Shox can be prepared for Memphis. Only missing pieces are size, quickness, skill, ability to execute, and personnel. Memphis appears to be two-deep at every position with better players than are on the Shox roster.

                    If the metrics say WSU has a decent percentage of "good" shots, that says a lot. We already know they can't make many "bad" shots. Now we're finding out they can't make many "good" shots either. That falls on the coaching staff under the topic "Recruiting". Can't put that on IB quite yet. When a coach starts recruiting in January for the next year, you're going to end up with players like Pleasant, Grant, and McFarlane.

                    Were there any recruits in the pipeline that IB had to re-recruit? I don't recall any.

                      That's an excuse. IB is supposed to be a master recruiter.

                        Yes, IB was not behind the 8 ball on recruiting, he was already lead recruiter for 3G.
