Coaches often get extensions for the purpose of recruiting. With the new transfer rules, I believe some of these long term contracts will fade.
Why should a coach need a guarantee to recruits that they will be the coach throughout a players career when the players can now just jump ship anytime.

Good point. Being a private school, Tulsa didn’t have to release those numbers. It seemed as if it was a two-year extension, so I suppose the numbers don’t have to be back-breaking.
