  • Congrats to the coaching staff and the players on a league Championship! What a great place to be after what transpired over the last 12 months.

I agree, but it does matter unfortunately.

      • When it was 11-10 midway through the 1st half I wasn't thinking the Shocks would be putting up 80 in this game.

I don’t think there’s any love lost between Gregory and our program as a whole. The first meeting this year I think he got T’ed and damn near ejected because HCIB called time outs to ice a free throw shooter. Then I think someone was talking **** to Etienne because he stared down their bench when he hit his first three at the end of the first half.

Scoring margin is not used in NET calculations.

Efficiency is though... So bigger margin = better efficiency numbers

And the delta from +7 instead of +12 over expectation (using kenpom as reference) is going to change the efficiency of this game by how much?

If you were listening to Play Angry in November, they were saying they thought WSU could be a NCAA tournament team.

I would think if these metric guys can adjust there numbers for a "luck" factor the should be able to eliminate stats after rarely used players and walk on are in the games.

                            • I don’t want to take away from winning the game big and winning the AAC. Both great things.

But in a crazy year where winning a T7 conference outright doesn’t have you firmly in a dance, ending a game where your winning by almost 30 by 17 hurts when you need all the NET help you can get.

...and having only 8 players due to covid-19 playing against two Quad-1 games.
