The guy has to be the Angel Hernandez of college basketball. Just terrible. That being said, we got a really nice whistle in the first half. I’ll take a few more halves with only two fouls called on us.

Score closer than the game, sorta like us vs Houston.

I'm sort of with you but Cincinnati was a team asking to be boatraced. Even marginal shooting from that group and this could have been a 20 point win.

The accusation was that him and a couple of his friends shared phone pictures of a high school girl. I think she was 15 or 16 so it wasn’t like a little kid. Still wrong but I can understand how the charges were reduced. I’m pretty sure that he had offers from Iowa State and a couple of Big 10 schools prior to the indictment.

So if you don't wash it that's not exactly coming clean.

...and I believe he had some legit 4-Star bigs to get the ball to at UConn. Earlier in the season he made some nice passes in the lane to a totally unexpected big not ready for the pass. Lol. Hopefully that'll come to fruition here as the season goes on!

    Go Shocks!!!

The charges were reduced to misdemeanors and he then signed with Cincinnati after their coaching change.

With the social distancing, nobody will be the wiser - unless you start wearing it to the baseball games.

He can get to the cup but has got to do a better job making the decision. I will take AG every day if he is going one on one. Not so much one on two or three. Go shocks.
I have heard from those that saw him play before he started having injury problems - he was a different player. A talented and explosive point guard. I expect he is still trying to make those same type of moves, shots and plays, but his body is just holding him back.

He’s nowhere near our best player and we don’t need him to be. We have two other centers (really one at the moment) who can step in when he isn’t playing well or is in foul trouble. It’s the beauty of the 3 (hopefully someday) headed monster that we’ve used since Gregg Marshall got here.

Many have made up their mind about him and it would take something miraculous to change their opinion.

He certainly frustrates me at times but he’s not as bad as that crowd wants to make him.
I’m really impressed with his free throw improvement. He plays hard but I wish he would pass the ball back out occasionally.

    • I wouldn’t mind seeing Porter be more aggressive on offense. It feels like he’s still a long way from his ceiling but I love the way he impacts the game. I bet he always has a positive K/D ratio in Call of Duty.
    • As others have said before, if Clarence Jackson can figure out the mental side - focus on D, boxing out, shot selection - he can take the team to another level similar to Council. He can drive and score, drive and dish, you have to respect him at the three point line, and he’s a great off ball cutter.
    • Bilau is still a mixed bag but there’s a couple months left for him to improve this year. Hopefully he can continue to get healthy and get in more practice and game time.
    • It felt like Tyson forced it less tonight than he did against Houston which is good. He doesn’t have to shoot it every time to positively impact the offense. Similar to Steph Curry, his mere presence on the court should make things easier for his teammates.
    • Really dumb end to the game. I would have liked to see us finish with a 10+ point win but Cincy got the “buy game” hot shooting and wtf calls from referees. But it’s a process and always nice to get some coaching material and a W.

Correction: it wasn’t his senior year. He was 16 when it happened and it looks like he was down in Wichita when it this occurred.
