Statsheet.com has conference games broken down by close (5pts or less), blowout (20 or more points) and overtime games. I looked at last year's 2010-2011 totals for conference games only and used 2.5 points for the margin of close games, 25 points for the blowout games and 13 points for the games between 5 and 20 to arrive at a "composite" point margin. I then ordered the conferences by the 2011 composite. I also put in this year's conference games for comparison.
I've highlighted the MVC and the Power 6 conferences. Thiese numbers would seem to indicate a greater disparity between top and bottom in the power 6 than in many other conferences, including the MVC.
