  • +/- box score

Anyone found a source for a box score that includes +/- metrics? Thank you.

Sports-reference has what is called Offensive Box Plus/Minus (OBPM) and Defensive Box Plus/Minus (DBPM) and the combined Box Plus/Minus (BPM), but I don't know if it's the same as the +/- you;re thinking of.

Rk Player G OBPM DBPM BPM
    1 Erik Stevenson 12 4.3 4.7 8.9
    2 Tyson Etienne 12 8.3 1.5 9.7
    3 Trey Wade 12 2.0 5.9 7.9
    4 Grant Sherfield 12 2.2 3.3 5.6
    5 Jamarius Burton 11 3.4 2.3 5.7
    6 Jaime Echenique 8 0.8 5.1 5.9
    7 Morris Udeze 12 3.0 2.5 5.4
    8 Dexter Dennis 10 -1.8 2.8 1.0
    9 Asbjorn Midtgaard 11 0.2 5.9 6.1
    10 Isaiah Poor Bear-Chandler 11 -1.3 6.6 5.2
    11 Deantoni Gordon 9 -3.5 2.8 -0.7
    12 Noah Fernandes 10 -5.4 4.2 -1.2
    13 Brycen Bush 6 -10.0 1.8 -8.2
    14 Tate Busse 6 -14.8 -1.6 -16.4

I am looking for a game by game analysis. My father, son and I predict a player of the game, and we have been using the radio guys for our final answer. We are trying to go with something a tad more objective, and thought the +/- would be good enough for our purposes. So we are looking for a game log +/- or even the BPM.

      Thanks!

ESPN box scores typically will have this. But you may have to expand the columns to see it on your phone.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

Not for college, unless there's an ESPN app update I need to go get. They do for NBA.

I see that on NBA Box Scores but not on Collegiate Box Scores.

Not sure that +/- stats are the best way to determine a Player of the Game. Those stats are greatly influenced by the other 9 players who happen to be on the floor. Overtime it perhaps becomes a bit more meaningful. At least that's my opinion.

for each game , this site does have an ORtg and a DRtg. Taking ORtg minus Drtg might get me something like +/-. Not looking for the BEST way to objectively determine our POG picks, just an easier way and less biased than Mike K and Dave D.

KenPom has an MVP for each game, if that tickles your fancy.

I'd also be willing to pick for you. I clearly know more than all those options anyway.

I know that HCGM has been talking players' +/- sometimes this season during the radio post game. So, it's something that he likes to know.

Part of the reason we are looking for it. Seems Gregg thnks it is important in determing who made an impact.

If anyone knows how it is determined (or calculated), please help. In today game, Eschnique = 11 and Udeze = -3. I think Udeze play better

It’s simply the way the score goes when the player is on the floor
