  • South Carolina wins 70-59. That is an interesting result. Will certainly help our metrics.

    • But but but but I read on the UCONN message board that the shocks win over South Carolina was not good. South Carolina is not very good and that they were considered a cup cake. How can a bad team like South Carolina beat the number 9 rank team in the Country on their home court? The Kstate people have to realize that Bruce Weber is no Frank Martin. Their fan base is stil Learning. And waiting on the Oxgon of Doom.

      • Warren Nolan has the Shockers NET at 11. I am not sure if it includes the So. Carolina win over Virginia yet.

The net is a proprietary formula that the NCAA releases once a day updated through the previous day's games. Warren Nolan just updates it when the NCAA releases it.

So no it doesn't include that game. We are 11 through games played yesterday

Get NCAA college basketball rankings from the Associated Press, USA Today Coaches poll and the NCAA NET Rankings.

I saw how bad South Car. Is mentioned on this board too. While we made them look unimpressive, they are in a conference in which S. C. Will have at least a couple of good, possibly even very good wins because they will have large numbers of opportunities. We need to learn that each game shows some information but the next game could very well give the opposite information. Each team and each game is a fluid entity.

            • In other AAC action today:

UConn wins at home 88-62 over New Hampshire

East Carolina came back from an 8 point deficit at half to edge Charlotte 60-56 at home.

Houston blasts Portland 81-56 at the Diamond Head Classic in Hawaii. Houston also owns a road win over South Carolina this season so the Gamecock win over Virginia today will also help the Cougars.

                • South Carolina jumped all the way up to 93 in the NET after yesterday. That makes our 23 point blowout a Q2 win

No doubt. Maintaining that lofty ranking will be very tough let alone improving on it.

                        • Grimes from Houston is pretty good. Against GeoTech, he's 10/11 FG, 2/2 3FG for 23 points - in the first half.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Nearly 3/4th of those were basically uncontested layups. Georgia tech can't keep anyone in front of them and have no help defense at all
