Memphis playing 2 exhibition games although they won't get much basketball wise playing Christian Brothers and Lemoyne-Owen.

Maybe they're going for revenue with the exhibitions instead, figuring that people will pay to watch the world's greatest recruiting class in action.

Gotta cover the cost of those recruits somehow. If it was the Chickenhawks they could count on Adidas, but oher schools have to raise their money differently.

So you're saying they make their money the old fashion way, they earn it?

IIRC, they already gouged their fans between $5 and $10 each to attend their open scrimmage event.

Well lets see if they do anything this year with 2 of the top 15.

I know, it is going to be fascinating to see how this all goes for them, with the expectations they have, their coach openly telling the media he expects to win the natty this year. When they come to town Jan 9 the electricity in the arena should be off the chart.

Can't wait to kick the ass of the numero uno class in the country twice this year.

We never had that opportunity in the valley. Love this league!

"Nearly three months have passed since Nebraska basketball faced another team on the court, but that will change Saturday when the Huskers travel to Wichita State for a “secret” scrimmage against the Shockers. Nebraska returned from Italy in mid-August, and since then has been working hard to build chemistry, learn Fred Hoiberg’s system, and figure out how to take on the Big Ten with 11 new scholarship players. Junior guard Jervay Green, one of those new 11 players, hopes that Nebraska can learn plenty about itself against the Shockers regardless of the outcome of the scrimmage. ...

Nebraska will square off with Wichita State, which went 22-15 last season, but ended their season with a loss in the semifinals of the NIT. While Nebraska is trying to see what it has ahead of the start of the season, Wichita State is just as much of an unknown. Wichita State returns seven players, but 10 of the Shockers’ 13 scholarship players are either freshmen or sophomores. ..."
