  • From a NET standpoint, last night didn't affect things too much.

WSU moved up 1 to 42.
Cincy only dropped 5 to 55 (still Q1 road)
Memphis dropped 4 to 63 (Still Q1 road)
SMU Dropped 6 to 73 (Still Q1 road)
UCF up 10 to 115 (should lock them in to Q2 road for us)
South Carolina didn't move after their loss (still at 62, so within striking distance of Q1 neutral)
Oklahoma State benefitted from the losses and moved back up 3 to 71 (Q1 Road)
OU and VCU both bumped up a couple spots but they are both likely stuck in their current quadrant.

        Last night update:
No change for WSU - Still at 42
        Cincy down 1 to 56
Surprisingly UCONN up 1 to 67 with their loss
Oklahoma State up 1 to 70
SMU fell back 2 to 75 (so right on the cutoff for q1/q2)

No change on really anyone else important. With SMU bordering Q1/Q2, we need to win one of the @Cincy or @Memphis games. If we can get one of two out of there and win the rest, we are golden. Drop both and we will be sweating.

We are still being helped by our other metrics though

        KenPom 36
        BPI 36
        Sagarin 35
        KPI 31
        Strength of Record 34

Using Metrics + NET we are 9 right now.

              • Brackets being updated for today
https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...l/bracketology - 11 Seed - WSU Last 4 byes (5 teams between us and the cut off)
                https://www.cbssports.com/college-ba.../bracketology/ - 12 seed - Last 4 in (1 teams before cutoff)
                http://bracketwag.com/ (USA Today) - 11 seed- Last 4 byes - (7 Teams between cutoff).

So slim margins still but not a lot of punishment from yesterday. IMO Best case scenario is an 11 seed not in the play in game. Gives us 2 much more winnable first weekend game IMO. Don't have to face a 1 or 2 until the 2nd weekend. We wont be able to get up to a 6 seed even winning out through the tournament. I'd like to avoid 7/10 8/9 games.

                    • Other notable parts of Lunardi's bracket. He has New Mexico State set up to get the 3-14 upset over sCUm. I would enjoy that immensely. I call dibs on sitting next to Sheri Jans in that game. Sorry WuDrWu. You snooze, you lose!

                      • I think 24 wins gets us in. So most likely we win next 3 out of 4 and 1 in the tourney. Probably a play-in game though. 25 wins keeps us out of the first four.

                          • Well I’ll spin things a bit. UNI is also an 11 seed in the ESPN bracket. However, they most likely have to win out to get in. Lucky for us, we probably can afford one more loss and get in. Thank you, American.
