At some point, Creighton features a frontcourt of Doug McDermott, Gregory Echenique and Geoff Groselle… and nobody gets a rebound against them. At all.

It's too bad you didn't use http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperbole in your article. Will you evaluate your picks here next March and grade your effort?

Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

        Mayhem, thanks for the article.
And my reply was "just for fun" too. I didn't really disagree with his comments but I don't think many of his picks will turn out to be correct.

On the one hand, it is impossible to imagine Stutz, Hall, Murry, Smith, etc. not getting any rebounds for an extended amount of time. On the other hand, I don't know which of his picks will be wrong; they are all reasonable choices.

I was prepared to object to the choice of COY until I read about Hall and White. From Sully: The Shockers will miss the versatility of Gabe Blair and Aaron Ellis, both of whom played power forward and were comfortable shooting and passing outside the lane and defending outside shooters. Hall is adjusting to playing away from the basket for the first time. White is trying to guard quicker players at the three-point line. This makes me worried about the defense we will have against Weems and Mac, Jr.

Maybe he feels that guards will be so open against this lineup that no one misses any shots...

In that case, I'm 100% behind his article.

If Hall is unable to defend the 4 well, one incorrect pick in the article might be Hall as NOY. (Of course, I hope Hall dominates on defense and offense.)

I'm not sure how many will be correct, either...

I do truly think that Hall is the best non-freshman to join the conference. If one of the freshman doesn't impress greatly, Hall has a great chance at NOY.

I will write the follow-up article in March to see how far off I was...

Hall is a Juco AA, he ALREADY knows how to defend the 4 well. It is just a matter of getting him acclimated to Div-1 ball. He will be tested some in Puerto Rico though.

I just think that by the time Valley season rolls around, Hall will be one of the best 4s in the league, on offense and defense.
