This guy could be fun to watch. Maybe he's as good as Tim Pickett from Florida State. I didn't like the outcome of that game but Pickett was enjoyable.

Sounds like he will give PJ and/or Aaron Ellis all they can handle.

PJ will have to be on his game Saturday, and watch the fouls.....

We've done a good job holding top scorers below their average. Question is, who else on UABs team do we need to worry about..?

Vaden and sophmore Walter Sharp seem to be the standouts. They are tall like LSU, and have a couple of 6'9" forwards.

        Here is their roster:

Here is another article about Vaden's performance against Kentucky:

Here are some individual and team stats for UAB, pretty interesting:

This looks like a very winnable game too if the Shox play like they did against LSU.

Top 3 shooters from 3 line.

Vaden - 43.9% from the 3 line. 84.2% from the FT line.

            Kinnard - 41.7% from the 3 line.

            Berrios - 52.6% from the 3 line.

Remaining players - 17.1% from the 3 line.

Top 3 shooters have taken 83.8% of the 3 ball shots.

            Berrios does not start.

We had better make drivers out of Vaden and Kinnard.

Who is going to guard Vaden when PJ is out? Preadom?

probably ellis. i guess it depends on the height of Vaden.
preadom might have shorter guards to defend.

Vaden is 6'5". He is going to be a match up problem. Probably too quick for Ellis and too tall for Preadom.

GM just talked at halftime of the women's game being shown on channel 22. He said that UAB is the best team we have played so far this year and it ought to be a really exciting game.

HOLY SMOKES!!! Did anyone else notice this guy Vaden has taken 114 threes so far this season?!?! He's 50-114 through the first 12 games! To give some comparison, last year Sean Ogirri took 167 threes in the entire season. The most three-point attempts by any Shocker player in history is 206 by Sean Ogirri in the 2005-06 season. Vaden has already taken 114 this year. Get a body on that guy! Darth Vaden!
