It was a great game against a bad team.

We need more consistency before you go out and spout too much stuff.

Still a good win though. UAB will be a big one..

Just one game, and many had every right to vent after dismal efforts last week.

not sure where this topic is headed, but keep it clean, 'kay? :D

Good teams can learn while winning. You shouldn't need a wake-up game via a loss at UMKC.

And we happened to play zone defense tonight AND got the ball inside for some high percentage shots. Grantedm LSU is not that great

Do you think we weren't bad in losing at home to UTA or collapsing at UMKC? A win over a bad LSU team doesn't prove anything yet. It certainly doesn't wipe out those two very bad losses (three, if you count Monmouth).

Again, we need to be consistent.

No need for a call-out after one good game.

If you are happy about the win against a not-so-good LSU team, then that's fine. However, Shox fans who think that this win represents a turnaround in the season and a taste of better things to come for this year, then I think you are sadly mistaken.

This team still shot 2 - 19 from the 3 pt. line and are a combined 10 for 65 the past three games (15 percent). The percentages will say you will not win very many games shooting 15 percent from the trey.

Let's hope the Shox can carry the momentum from this game into the UAB game. And here's hoping the Shox fans will be even more frenzied and gettin' in UAB's ears.

                    Good Items
WSU rebounds 50, LSU rebounds 31
                    LSU shooting 18-58 (31.0%)

                    Bad Items
                    WSU 3-Pt. 2-19 (10.5%)

If LSU had been a good team, we might have lost. On the other hand, if we win the next 3 or 4 games by 20+, everyone here will be happy!!!

This post wasn't necessary. Just because the Shox won one game against a below average BCS team doesn't mean anyone learned any lessons. Being negative sometimes is part of being a fan. Plus, the shox did many things that deserved a few negative remarks from some of us on here. Learn to deal with it. Not everything the Shox do deserves constant praise.

As grumpy and negative about all things Shocker that some posters seem to be after a loss, let the man enjoy the win.

KC, you didn't even watch the game. How are you going to come in here and comment about the 2-19 w/o seeing it in context?

E: 2-19 speaks for itself except when it doesn't. How is that for coach speak? 14 of those missed 3s were wide open shots that you would always say "take that" by players you want taking those shots. The other 3 were shot clock shots.

Also, there was more to see in this game than momentum. They played tight zone D that was only busted ONCE. LSU was very quick off the screen, a key to busting Zone D. Only once did they really bust the zone. Also, the full court zone really REALLY broke LSU here. They didn't have a bench and they were forced to run up and down the court and move the ball a lot. Only ONE TIME, fairly late, did we get burned on the full court press. If you watch a team like Drake that (almost) always runs the FCP, they will get burned here and there, but never once. These are three things that have been good only getting better.

Give me a team that plays great D, has great rebounding, and takes open shots (and is fast, as in Matty B fast) versus anyone in the country.

Do I really need to watch the game to make a determination that this team, up to this point, has sucked it up beyond the arc? Are you trying to tell me that LSU did something special tonight that no other team that Shox have faced to make them shoot 2 for 19? This team has sucked beyond the arc the past three games, and for the season are shooting 56 for 197 - that's a 28 percent clip.

Don't freakin' tell me that I have no basis to make an observation, the numbers speak for themselves.
