  • Interesting that Toronto took a PG in the first round. Either they feel like Fred ain't coming back or they're about to trade Lowry in a year or 2

He's probably get loads of playing time on an awful team with no Harden, potentially no Westbrook, and no Covington.

Lowry turns 35 in March, so he likely doesn't have too many years left in the league whether FVV stays or not

Yeah you're probably right. I think he's under contract til he's 38, and I know he's a durable dude but his value will definitely drop by then so they'll probably find a way to move his contract eventually. Probably a smart move to bring in a younger guy to learn from FVV and Lowry then move into the 2nd string PG once they move on from Lowry and Fred takes over as full time PG

Professional athletes pay taxes based on the state where they earned the money, not on the state where they live.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

So, if he played for the Rockets, wouldn’t he pay 0% income tax...

For home games. They are contracted entertainers and pay taxes based on where the event is held

But, 50% of your games at 0% is better than 50% in NYC, where you pay both state and local income tax.

Toronto is the worst. They pay in the 40’s

                      • Might make it hard for the Raptors to sign Giannis, but oh well. Gotta sign FVV.

Be the guy who is responsible for a turnaround there.

                          • Nets would be a good place for Landry. Good chance at a ring. Btw, did anyone else noticed Kawhi not ever passing the ball to LS? Could be not having enough confidence in him or whatever. But we know KD has much respect for LS's game. Hopefully things will be better for him this season.

Does Kawhi ever pass the ball much to anyone?

not sure what Kansas pays for property taxes, but they get you one way or another. In Texas it comes out to approx 2% of your home value. Of course he doesn’t pay that if he rents.
