  • Landry made his 3rd 3 with 9:30 to go in the 3rd quarter. Still in the 3rd, he's 3-6 from distance, 14 points.

    • In an odd twist of fate, Shamet may do more good for WSU basketball by leaving early than if he had stayed all 4 eligibility years.

I don't follow the NBA at all, but it seems that VanVleet and Shamet are two of the hottest (maybe out of 10 or 15) young players in the league. Both seem to be performing like lottery picks at their positions.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

        • Shamet is alot of fun to watch. Fred is too. Hopefully we will have more Shockers to watch in the NBA someday.

        • Landry Shamet spent his rookie season draining threes, making a name for himself. Should LA Clippers fans be worried that he won't be able to keep it up?

JJ Redick said that Landry is basically the exact same player as him, only better. That's a damn fine quote from one of the best college 3 point shooters!

          • i believe Landry ended up 4th on the all time rookie 3 pt list. Luka ended up with 168 3 pt made, just beating Landry's 167. It took Luka 2318 minutes to achieve that though compared to Landry's 1801 minutes ....

And it took Luka 118 more attempts to beat Shamet by one made 3.

                      Start Fred... They have options

                  • Fred did not have his best night, one assist to two turnovers and +/- of -16 He did have 14 points on 5-9 shooting

Landry was 1-6 shooting but not much else

Landry was on Klay when he was in. Klay was also 1-6 from 3 but was 5-14 on FG. In all I’d say Landry was decent but not the offensive threat we have seen. Had be been on, the game would have been much tighter because LAC had no answer for the steph bombs and that’s what really broke the game open.

Landry was limping when they put him back in late in the game; it was after the double ejections; he checked in and was taken back out at the next whistle. Hopefully, he didn’t roll the ankle that has been bothering him lately.

And Klay, one of the best defenders in the NBA, was on Landry. That is RESPECT!

                  • When I was watching the Warriors were denying Landry the ball.

That's because the next to last game of the regular season Landry hit 5 3s in the first half and had to put Durant on him to slow him down. Warriors are worried about him getting hot.
